Muscat: More than 1,000 mangrove saplings have been planted by the Environment Authority in Khor Al Arqoub in the Wilayat of Mahout.
A statement issued online by the Environment of Authority said: "The Environment Authority has implemented a campaign to plant 1,200 mangrove saplings in Khor Al Arqoub in the Wilayat of Mahout. The cultivation is part of the National Initiative project to plant 10 million trees, with the aim of preserving and rehabilitating ecosystems and their components to create a sound environmental balance."
