Muscat: More than 32,000 General Education Diploma (GED) students have gotten COVID-19 jabs between May 26 and May 31, 2021 in Oman.
"The Ministry of Health and Education continues the campaign to vaccinate General Education Diploma students in all governorates of the Sultanate with the anti-Coronavirus vaccine. As of yesterday May 31, 2021, the total vaccinated number was 32,172, which comprises 43 per cent of the GED student population, and the total of those who will be vaccinated is estimated at 75,730 people," the Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.
"The Governorate of Muscat recorded the highest vaccination rate in Oman, as the number of vaccinated persons reached 7,915, is 47 per cent, followed by North Al-Batinah Governorate where 5,418 people were vaccinated, with a rate of 39 per cent, and Al Dakhiliya Governorate, where 4,613 people were vaccinated with a rate of 44 per cent," the statement added.
