One rescued by firefighters in Muscat

Muscat: A person was rescued from a fire by firefighters in Muscat.

"The teams managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in an apartment in the southern Mabela area in the Wilayat of Seeb. The building was evacuated and the person was rescued using a hydraulic jack," a statement issued by Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said.

The person is in good health now, the statement added.
