Muscat: Oman has reported a new record number of deaths exceeding 30, on Monday due to COVID-19, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
On June 21, statistics made available on Tarassud, the coronavirus monitoring app launched by the ministry, showed that the number of those hospitalised in the past 24 hours reached 188 along with 428 patients admitted to the ICU, bringing the total number of patients admitted to health institutions to 1,448 cases.
There are 2,529 new cases of Covid-19 in Oman, deaths reaching 31 during this period, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry stated that the total number of registered cases in the Sultanate is 250,572, with 220,171 recovered (87.9 per cent) and 2,741 deaths (1.09 per cent).
