Thunderstorms predicted over some parts of Oman

Muscat: There are chances of thunderstorms accompanied by fresh winds and hail over some parts of Oman, Oman Meteorology said on Monday.

"The weather is partly cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with a chance of isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of Oman with chances of convective cloud development and thunderstorms associated with fresh winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains towards afternoon, " Oman Meteorology said in a statement.

The statement added that dust storms over deserts and open areas are expected, including chances of late night to early morning fog over parts of the Arabian Sea.
