Oman Customs seizes over 40,000 boxes of cigarettes

Muscat: The Oman Customs has seized more than 40,000 boxes of prohibited cigarettes in Oman.

"The Department of Investigation and Risk Assessment seized 40,552 boxes of prohibited cigarettes, after tracking the movement of the target shipment from the moment it entered the Al Wajajah port until it reached its destination in the South Al Batinah Governorate, which revealed a warehouse of smuggled goods operated by a group of expatriate workers," the Oman Customs said in a statement.
