Muscat: Two expatriates have been arrested in the Sultanate on charges of human trafficking.
A statement issued online by the Royal Oman Police, (ROP) said: "The Directorate General of Inquiries and Investigations arrested two expatriates of Asian nationality on charges of human trafficking. They are accused of having lured some domestic workers to escape from their employers and deluded them with the promise of getting them jobs with attractive salaries. After escaping, the process of extortion and forced prostitution took place."
