Muscat: Amid preparations to host ICC T20 Cricket World Cup, Oman Cricket (OC) has reminded the Senior Division teams to hasten the registration process for the new season along with the payment of tournament fees before the deadline expires on August 10.
Once the team registration and payment process is over, teams will be required to complete the player registration by August 15. All Senior Division teams must enroll a minimum of 15 players including at least one Omani national for the season.
“The Senior Division teams must also physically submit a duly signed player consent form to Oman Cricket office before 5.30 pm by August 18. No scanned copies or emails will be accepted,” advised an OC official.
Holding the biggest pool of sides in any Division of Oman Cricket’s League tournament, the Senior Division comprises teams from B Division downwards while Junior Division consists of various tiers of inter-school and cricket academy competitions across different age groups.
The 30-over B Division and 20-over lower Division leagues are likely to start simultaneously on September 13, all on astro-turf pitches across the capital.
