Parts of Oman to witness thunderstorms, isolated rainfall

Muscat: The Al Hajar Mountains may witness thunderstorms accompanied by downdraft wind, Oman Meteorology said on Sunday.

 "The weather is partly cloudy to cloudy skies along the coastals of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains with chances of isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of Oman. Cloud formation and thunderstorms associated with downdraft wind over Al Hajar Mountains are expected towards afternoon. There is a possibility of late night to early morning low level clouds over parts of the Arabian and Oman Sea coasts," Oman Meteorology said in a statement.
