COVID-19: Oman governorate temporarily suspends vaccination campaign

Muscat: The COVID-19 vaccination campaign will be temporarily suspended in Muscat Governorate on  August 10, 2021, due to the Hijri New Year holiday, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

"We draw your attention to the fact that on Tuesday, Muharram 1, 1443, corresponding to August 10, 2021, COVID-19 vaccination operations will be closed in the approved vaccination centres," the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Muscat Governorate said in a statement.

"We kindly request you to reschedule the appointments for the day through the Tarassud Plus application system or the electronic link: Covid19.moh.gov.om, emphasising the importance of expediting the vaccination campaign to protect the community at large, "the statement added.

COVID-19 vaccination campaign will continue during the Hijri New Year holiday in the following Governorates of Oman:

"DGHS in North Al Batinah Governorate congratulates on the advent of the New Hijri year and notes the continuation of vaccination during the Hijri New year holiday in all vaccination centres of the governorate," the directorate said in a statement.

 DGHS in North Al Sharqiyah and South Al Sharqiyah governorates noted, through their official accounts, the continuation of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in all vaccination centers during the Hijri New year holiday.
