Omani educational institution gets global stamp of approval
To earn Cognia accreditation, organisations must implement a continuous process of improvement, and submit to internal and external reviews.

Muscat: An Omani education group that runs schools, nurseries, and early learning centres in the country has received global accreditation based on its efforts to encourage productive learning, meet the needs of learners, and show effective leadership.

Global Education Services, the parent organisation of Al Shomoukh International School and Shomoukh Nursery, has been awarded the Cognia accreditation, one of the first hallmarks for academic accreditation and quality assurance in the country.

Cognia is a non-profit that provides quality assurance to schools, educational districts, and education providers.

“Cooperation accreditation as conferred by the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission provides Global Education Services, Al Shomoukh International School and Shomoukh Nursery nationally recognized mark of quality for our cooperation,” said Sheikha Janat Salim Hamood Al Hashmi, CEO of Global Education Services Company. “It demonstrates to our community our commitment to excellence, our openness to external review and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve.”

Earning accreditation from Cognia means that the cooperation is accredited, and that these education institutions are recognised across the nation as bodies that meet Cognia standards of quality, and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement.

To earn Cognia accreditation, organisations must implement a continuous process of improvement, and submit to internal and external reviews. A cooperation in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a five-year term.

Cognia is the parent organisation of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
