Thunderstorms predicted in parts of Oman

Muscat: Thunderstorms can be expected over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas in the afternoon, Oman Meteorology said on Tuesday.

"The weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate and the adjoining mountains have chances of isolated rainfall. There are chances of convective clouds formation and thunderstorms over the Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas towards the afternoon. There is also a chance of low-level clouds or fog over parts of the Arabian Sea coasts from late night to early morning," Oman Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast.
