Muscat: General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributor of FUSO trucks in Oman, recently handed over the keys of two 5.7-ton GVW (3 Tonnes chassis Pay Load) FUSO CANTER trucks 4x4 to OMIFCO (Oman India Fertiliser Co.) The teo trucks, each equipped with an Insulated body and Freezer unit, will be sponsored by OMIFCO to support Oman Agricultural Society for Pomegranate farmers at al Jabal Akhdar.
The trucks were handed over to OMIFCO officials at the premises of Ministry of agriculture in Al Khuwair. Also present at the handover ceremony were members of the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers association of Jabal Akhdar.
A spokesperson from OMIFCO said, “As a company that is 50 per cent Omani owned and operating here in the Sultanate, we are always looking for ways in which we give back to the community. FUSO is a brand that we have personally had a great experience with, and their trucks are easily characterised by their high quality and operational efficiency. GAC is equally reputed for their high levels of service and support. As such, we felt that the FUSO CANTER would be the Most suitable vehicle to donate to the Oman Agricultural Society. I am confident that these additional 2 trucks, will enable the Oman Agricultural society to better serve their beneficiaries across the country.”
