Salalah : Qatari cyclist Ahmed Al Bardini came first in the preliminary phase of Salalah Tour for bicycles race.
Meanwhile, Qatari cyclist Bilal Al Saadi received a white shirt awarded by OQ, a global integrated energy group in Oman.
The race yesterday kicked off from the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment to Burj Al Nahdha (Renaissance Tower) in Salalah with the participation of 101 cyclists from Oman and GCC countries in a singles race against the clock for a distance of 6 km.
Lead winners in the race were honoured in the presence of Saif Sabaa Al Rushaidi, Director of Oman Cycling Association (OCA) and Mohammed Hassan Al Marhoon, Director General of Wilayat’s Affairs at the Office of the Governor of Dhofar.
The tour sees the participation of 150 cyclists representing 14 teams, 10 of them from Oman and 4 from other GCC countries. -ONA
