The National Multi Hazards Early Warning Centre announced the end of the direct effects of the tropical situation.
Forecast maps currently show the epicentre of the depression to the southwest of Al Dhahirah Governorate, near the borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and predict its gradual disappearance. Sea conditions will still see medium waves of up to 2 metres in height across the Sultanate's coasts.
The centre warned of the continuation of scattered thunderstorms in the Al Hajar Mountains and the surrounding areas, as the valleys continued to flow, calling on everyone to take caution and not to risk crossing the valleys and to stay away from low places.
