Muscat : The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested 31 foreign nationals for attempting to enter the Sultanate of Oman illegally.
"The Police Command of South Al Batinah Governorate, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Police, managed to arrest 31 foreign natioanls while they reached the shore on board two boats. The legal procedures are being completed against them," ROP said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Dhofar Governorate Police Command arrested two expatriate women on charges of coercive theft and extortion after they lured an employee of car rental offices to their place of residence, assaulted him, photographed him and stole his money. The legal procedures are being completed against the two accused.
Also, ROP officers seized more than 61 kilograms of crystal drug and more than 46 kilograms of hashish found with an expatriate while he transporting them via his vehicle .
"The General Administration of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control arrested an expatriate while he was transporting a quantity of narcotics through his vehicle for the purpose of trafficking. ROP seized more than 61 kilograms of crystal drug and more than 46 kilograms of hashish. The legal procedures were completed against him ." ROP said in a statement.
