CPA warns against use of this cosmetic product in Oman

Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), has warned people not to use the cosmetic product 'Health & Beauty Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay' because it contains a high percentage of bacteria and arsenic.

"Consumer Protection warns against the use of the cosmetic product 'Health & Beauty Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay' due to it exceeding the permissible limit of bacteria as well as exceeding the permissible limit of impurities like arsenic. Exposure to a high percentage of the product may lead to health risks to the consumer, which is in violation of the Gulf Standard (GSO 1943/2016) regarding safety requirements in cosmetics and personal care," CPA said in a statement.
