Three expats arrested in Oman for illegal fishing

Muscat: Three expats have been arrested for using illegal nets in the Wilayat of Duqm.

"The Fisheries Control Team in Al Wusta Governorate was able to arrest three expatriate workers practicing fishing using illegal nets in the Wilayat of Duqm. The workers were detained and transferred to the competent authorities in preparation for their deportation," the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Wusta Governorate said in a statement.
