Earthquake recorded in Gulf of Aden

Muscat: An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 was recorded in the Gulf of Aden on Thursday, the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said.

A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in the Gulf of Aden with a magnitude of 4.8, at 3.24 am MCT and at a depth of 10 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 539 away from Salalah."
