Royal Oman Police arrests five expats with drugs

Muscat : The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested five foreigners for possessing more than 35 kilograms of crystal drug and a certain quantity of marijuana in Muscat Governorate.

A statement issued online by ROP said: "The Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances was able to arrest five expatriates, including an infiltrator who entered the country illegally by sea and smuggled drugs in partnership with an international gang."

"After the smuggling boat was spotted, the infiltrator was tracked down and arrested with the rest of the gang members in the Governorate of Muscat. More than 35 kilograms of crystal drug and a quantity of marijuana were found in their possession. The legal procedures are being completed against them," ROP added.
