Muscat: Oman's benchmark MSX 30 Index rose marginally by 6.56 points to end the month of June at 4,122.56, representing an increase of 0.16 per cent compared to the end of May 2022.
The total value of traded securities during June declined by 34.61 and reached OMR54 million compared to OMR 83 million at the end of May.
The market capitalisation of Oman's stock market declined in June by 0.77 per cent and reached around OMR22.20 billion, compared to around OMR22.38 billion in May.
The MSX said in its monthly report that the value of shares bought by non-Omanis investors reached OMR7 million, while the value of shares sold by non-Omanis investors reached OMR9 million in June.
MSM 30 Index reached its highest during this month at 4,149.04 points on June 12, 2022, and the lowest value was 4,098.72 points on June 14, 2022, resulting in a difference of 50.32 points.
On the other hand, the highest turnover registered during June was on June 29, 2022, at OMR4.74 million and the lowest turnover was registered on June 19, 2022, at OMR0.77 million.
The turnover daily average during June was OMR2.5 million compared to the daily average turnover of OMR4.6 million last month with a decline of 46.5 per cent.
The MSX statement said that in June there were 22 trading days compared to 18 trading days in May.
