Geneva: Earning 5.48 points, Oman came fourth on the Arab level and 14th on the international level in the logistic service indicators for the emerging markets in 2016.
The indicator was prepared by Agility of Switzerland and published on its website.
The indicator is based on two basic criteria namely doing business and transportation infrastructure and the connection between them as this will help logistic service providers, customer clearance officers, distributors and shipping companies to carry out their tasks easily. China topped the list which includes 45 countries. UAE came second followed by India, Malaysia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
The company affirmed that it uses economic, business data, social indicators and the development of transportation sector to rank the countries in logistic services markets indicators.
