Power supply returns to few parts of Oman

Muscat: The Public Services Regulatory Authority in Oman confirmed the gradual return of electricity supply in several governorates.

Power supply is gradually being restored to:

* Governorate of Muscat: Parts of Seeb

* Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah: Parts of Samail, Izki and Nizwa

* Governorate of North and South Al Batinah: Parts of Suwaiq and Barka

Work is underway to restore power supply to the remaining areas.

Meanwhile, the Nama group said in a statement, "We are prudently following the latest updates related to the power outages in some Governorates and Willayats of the Sultanate of Oman (except Al Buraimi, Musandam, Dhofar and North Al Batinah Governorates). The Group companies are still working constantly to restore electricity to the affected areas as soon as possible while considering all safety measures. We urge all customers to follow the official channels to verify the relevant news to avoid rumers. Customers will be notified of the latest updates via the official social media channels.”
