HM receives credentials of ambassadors

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received separately at Al Barakah Palace on Tuesday credentials of a number of ambassadors of Arab and friendly countries accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

His Majesty the Sultan received credentials of the following ambassadors:

Dr. Idris Maya, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Dr. Bashar Al Assad of the Arab Syrian Republic, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Salah Al Din Al Hajj Mohammed Al Kando, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Mohammed Nazmul Islam, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Mohammad Abdul Hamid of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Dornath Aryal, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Bidya Devi Bhandari of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Amina Ali Abdallah, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Dr. William Ruto of the Republic of Kenya, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Barnabas Fodor, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Katalin Novak of Hungary, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Mohammed Nasser Al Hajri, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Ahmed Lebbe Sabarullah Khan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Ranil Wickremesinghe of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Florin Marius Tacu, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Klaus Iohannis of Romania, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

During their meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed greetings and best wishes of their countries’ leaders to His Majesty and the Omani people.

They also expressed their great honour and delight to present their credentials before His Majesty the Sultan. They affirmed to exert sincere efforts to promote relations of their respective countries with Oman in various spheres in a manner that serves the joint interests of the Omani people and their countries’ citizens.

His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors, expressing his gratitude for their leaders’ greetings and best wishes. His Majesty affirmed that they would receive all support from him, the Government and the Omani people to facilitate carrying out their duties.

The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Foreign Minister, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Head of the Royal Protocols and the Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan.
