Oman affirms implementation of energy transition plan, investments worth more than $190bn by 2050

The Sultanate of Oman has affirmed its commitment to support international efforts to cut down carbon emissions, alleviate the negative effects of climate change and implement a plan for energy transition and decarbonisation with investments of more than $190 billion by 2050. This was unveiled by Abdullah Nasser Al Rahbi, Oman’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative at the Arab League during a speech before the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.
