4 cups milk
2 tbsp butter
1/2cup wheat flour
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 cups boiled and finely chopped zucchini
1 onion ,finely chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Gently roast flour in a pan till rawness exudes.
Do not brown the flour, and keep aside to cool.
Add butter to the same pan and gently heat. Add in chopped onion, stir and cook till transparent.
Add 3 cups of milk, bring to a boil.
Mix flour in remaining 1 cup milk, till smooth without lumps.
Add the flour milk mix and zucchini to the boiling milk, stir. Season with salt, garlic powder. pepper and milk.
Stir continuously till boiling resumes.
Simmer till thick, stirring continuously.
When thick, pour into a shallow casserole styled baking dish.
Sprinkle cheese, allow to cool completely.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.
Serve hot with bread toasts, or rye bread chunks.
