Jeddah (Saudi Arabia): Heavy rains in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, on Thursday, November 24, 2022 led to the closure of schools in addition to some roads.

The National Center of Meteorology recorded the highest amount of rain in Jeddah Governorate, from 8 am to 2 pm, in the south of the governorate, which amounted to 179 mm.

The center clarified, through the report it issued, that the amount of rain today in Jeddah exceeded the amount of rain recorded in 2009.

It is noteworthy that the coastal areas of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, including the city of Jeddah, were affected this morning by cumulonimbus clouds that brought heavy rains and were accompanied by the occurrence of thunderstorms and hail, which led to torrential runoff and a rise in the water level in the streets in some areas, and residents were affected by the loss of their property .

The General Directorate of Civil Defense called on everyone to be careful and wary of potential dangers in such an atmosphere, to stay away from places where torrents and valleys gather and not to try to bypass them, and to adhere to the civil defense instructions announced through various media and social networking sites.
