Muscat: The effects of the depression have begun today, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the Sultanate of Oman.
The latest aerial photos showed the flow of clouds over the northern governorates, in addition to the condensation of low clouds over the coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate.
The Directorate General of Meteorology in Oman indicated that there is a possibility of rain of varying intensity in Musandam Governorate, including thunderstorms at times, and chances of sporadic rain in the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman and high waves on the coasts of the Musandam Governorate and the Sea of Oman.
Regarding the state of the sea, the meteorologists warned of high sea waves on the coasts of the Sea of Oman and the Musandam Governorate, and low temperatures in most of the Sultanate’s governorates.
It also reported the rise of dust and dirt in parts of the governorates of Al-Dhahirah, Al-Wusta and Dhofar.
