Muscat: The General Traffic Department said that driving during rain is fraught with many risks due to slippery roads and fog, and low horizontal visibility, which threatens the safety and security of driving, and increases the risk of accidents, God forbid.
The department wrote on Twitter: “Drive carefully and reduce the speed of your vehicle, while maintaining sufficient safety distance.”
The General Traffic Department published instructions coinciding with the Sultanate of Oman being affected by a depression, and explained: "When driving during the rain, use the main headlights with low illumination so that vision is clear in front of you, and you are visible to others."
The atmosphere of the Sultanate will be affected by a groove from an air depression, starting from tomorrow, Tuesday, and will continue until next Saturday evening.
