OMR150 million water supply project commissioned in Al Dhahirah

An OMR150 million vital water supply project to ensure water security for Al Dhahirah Governorate was commissioned on Monday.

Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC) organised the opening ceremony for the water supply project by Sohar Water Desalination Plant in Al Dahirah Governorate.

The event was held in the Wilayat of Ibri which was presided over by Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, in the presence of ministers, State Council members, undersecretaries and dignitaries.

“While designing the project, the company took into account the current and future water needs for Al Dhahirah Governorate. It also took into account the rise in water demand for both the commercial and industrial needs,” Qais bin Saud Al Zakwani, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company said.
