Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority has approved the "Royal Airships" company a commercial operation permit in the Sultanate of Oman after it completed the requirements for the license.
The Authority said: “In order to enhance the tourism sector and economic diversification in the Sultanate of Oman, the Royal Balloon Company was granted a commercial operation permit after completing the requirements for granting the license in accordance with the obligations set by the Civil Aviation Authority.
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism also announced that this morning, under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Governor of North Sharqiyah, in the presence of Saeed Al Obaidani, Director General of Tourism Development in the Ministry and a number of specialists in the Heritage and Tourism Department in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, the commercial operation of the Royal Balloons Project was inaugurated.
