Oman weather: Rain expected in parts of Sultanate

Muscat: Oman meteorological department has predicted intermittent rains in Dhofar and adjoining areas in its latest forecast.
“Cloudy skies over Dhofar Governorate and adjoining mountains with chance of intermittent drizzle and fog formation,” the forecast said.
“Rest of the Sultanate will mainly have clear skies with chances of clouds development and rain over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining area towards the afternoon and chance of late night to early morning low level cloud or fog patches along the coastal area of Oman Sea and Arabian Sea,” forecast added.
There are chances of dust rising over deserts and open areas of the governorate of Al Wusta due to fresh winds, according to the forecast.
On Tuesday, the Sultanate saw rains in Rustaq area and some parts of Ibri, a weather enthusiast said quoting residents.
“Heavy rain fell on Tuesday in Rustaq, Nakhal and some parts of Ibri, said Bader Ali Al Baddaei, an administrator of www.rthmc.net, a local Web-based forum that discusses weather in Oman.
