Stranded dolphins rescued from Oman’s beach

Muscat: A total of eight dolphins were rescued after being washed up on a beach in Dhofar Governorate, of which one dolphin has died, said the Environment Authority of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Authority said: “The Directorate General of Environment in Dhofar Governorate dealt with a report stating that eight Risso’s dolphins type were stranded, washed up on the coast of the Wilayat of Hasik.”

The authority’s team was able to rescue seven of them and they are in good health. One of them however died and it’s samples and measurements were taken to conduct laboratory tests and analyses.
