Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman's humanitarian relief flights have been operated to the affected areas in the Syrian Arab Republic as a result of the earthquake.
Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement: "In embodiment of the royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Oman Charitable Organisation , and in cooperation with the Royal Air Force of Oman, conducted relief flights to the affected areas in the Syrian Arab Republic as a result of the earthquake."
The Royal Air Force of Oman has also recently transferred a force from the National Search and Rescue Team of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority to participate in the Republic of Turkey in the operations of international search and rescue teams.
These relief flights come within the framework of the humanitarian efforts provided by the Sultanate in emergency and exceptional cases for brothers and friends. These flights will continue over the coming days, in solidarity with the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic and the friendly Republic of Turkey, through a group of other air relief flights in a continuous air bridge, in a way that contributes to facing the effects and repercussions of such natural disasters.
