His Majesty the Sultan visits Artillery of Royal Army of Oman

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has paid a visit to the Artillery of Royal Army of Oman, on Wednesday, said Oman News Agency (ONA). His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth during the visit. Upon the arrival of His Majesty at Camp Izki, the headquarters of the Sultan of Oman's artillery, Major General Matar bin Salem Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Omani Army, Brigadier General Staff Commander of the Sultan of Oman's Artillery, and the commanders of the artillery units welcomed him.

Fire doused at a hotel under construction in Muscat

Firefighting teams were able to put out a fire that broke out in a hotel under construction in Seeb, said the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority. CDAA said: “After strenuous efforts that lasted for 9 hours, the firefighting teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in ‫Muscat‬ were able to put out the fire that broke out in a hotel under construction in Seeb, without recording any injuries."
