Distance learning to be implemented in this university of Oman due to rains

Muscat: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sur announces the implementation of distance learning tomorrow, Tuesday, due to the climatic conditions that the South Al Sharqiyah governorate is going through, and in the interest of students safety.

A statement issued online by the the university said: ”It was decided to implement remote study in the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, on Tuesday, 25 April, 2023.”

The statement added: ”Everyone should be advised to take precautions and not take risks, such as crossing valleys.”

This came due to the climatic conditions that the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate is going through, and due to the alerts issued by The National Multi Hazard Early Warning System (NMHEWS), of the risks associated with heavy rains.
