Muscat: Muscat Municipality has recently issued a tender regarding the competition to provide consultancy services for the design of the festival site in Muscat Governorate.

The municipality invites all companies classified at the first-class level to registered with the Tender Board to compete in providing consulting services for the design of the festival grounds by presenting modern designs and ideas, according to international specifications that keep pace with the organisation of events and are in line with the priorities of Oman Vision 2040 in the development of sustainable cities and governorates.

The municipality explained that, the design should gather all the events, facilities and activities in one specialised and integrated site that contains the infrastructure of parking lots, walkways, entrances and exits, lighting, facilities, theatres, exhibitions, restaurants, restrooms and arenas designated for entertainment, promotion and participation, as well as creating designs for specialised event sites, arena events, performance sites, games, embodiment of environments, neighborhoods, etc. of various programs and activities.

The municipality added that the festival site should be ready to attract all the events that can be organised throughout the year and in different seasons, and to provide the site with various needs, services and facilities that serve visitors and tourists.

The Muscat Municipality is keen to pay attention to the aspirations of the community in the entertainment industry in the Governorate of Muscat, and to find events and activities with diverse contents and renewable ideas in various sports, cultural, entertainment, arts, creativity and competitions fields, and to take care of the participation of youth and groups of society in developing events and festivals in a way that meets the aspirations and achieves the feasibility and desired goals of society and the city.
