Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik hosted a luncheon in honour of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, and the delegation accompanying him.
The luncheon was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information.
It was attended from the UAE side by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, Chairman of Sharjah Petroleum Council and Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Oman and Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of Department of Culture in Sharjah and Member of Sharjah Executive Council.
Later, His Majesty the Sultan bid farewell to Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in Oman.
On his turn, the Ruler of Sharjah expressed his deep thanks for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him, wishing His Majesty the Sultan good health, happiness and a long life. He also wished the Omani people more progress under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
