Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, chaired the 31st preparatory meeting of the GCC Committee of Agriculture Undersecretaries.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the GCC Supreme Council’s Consultative Authority in Muscat, discussed a spectrum of topics dealing with enhancing cooperation between GCC states in the sectors of agriculture, livestock and fisheries.
Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Agriculture, chairman of the meeting, said that the achievements of the agricultural cooperation committee reflects the GCC leaders’ keenness to unify visions that aim at boosting joint action.
Moreover, Al Bakri pointed out that the committee contributed to enhancing the food security system on the GCC level.
