Czech Republic's Silhavy appointed new Oman football head coach

Former Czech Republic national coach Jaroslav Šilhavý has been appointed as Oman national football team coach on Thursday.

The 62 year old replaces Croatian Branko Ivankovic, who was sacked by the Oman Football Association (OFA) after the national team's disappointing AFC Asian Cup campaign in Qatar recently.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday stressed, during a phone call with the  Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, the necessity of stopping military operations in the Palestinian territories, protecting civilians, and ensuring access to humanitarian aid to the brotherly Palestinian people.
