Stomp! World-famous theatrical percussion show on 25th, 26th, 27th April.
Cirkopolis acrobatic show on 3rd, 4th and 5th May.
First up is the acrobatic version of Swan Lake, presenting the historic classical ballet to Tchaikovsky’s beautiful music with a cultural twist or two.
Performed by the Xi’An Acrobatic Troupe of China, this is a spectacular take on the original, with stunning choreography, costumes, and staging resulting in a sweet shop of delights.
This 20th anniversary production follows an award-winning 2008 World Tour and promises to be more spectacular than ever, integrating more than 100 unique skills to capture the imagination and challenge limits.
April closes with another extraordinary event, Stomp! the world-famous theatrical percussion show, which has attracted thousands of people for more than 30 years with nearly 12,000 performances. Be prepared to feel the beat like never before. Stomp began life at the edgy Edinburgh Fringe festival in the UK, where street performances inspired the use of street objects, bins, garage doors, road brushes.
The beats, the vibe, the dance, the choreography, and staging offer a window onto a vibrant world of musical theatre.
This is an award-winning show, the recipient of an Olivier Award for Best Choreography (London’s Tony Award), a New York Obie Award, a Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatre Experience and a Special Citation from Best Plays.
As ROHM enters the final month of shows, May kicks off with the Canadian aerial acrobatic troupe, Cirque Eloise, and their stunning show Cirkopolis, tapping into the theme of art being present in all walks of life.
Set against the backdrop of a corporate skyline full of high-rise buildings, amongst grey suited, grey faced office workers, there emerges a magical narrative of joy and dynamic energy.
With dance, song, and incredible acrobatics, the world of work is transformed into a playground, reminding us of the pure pleasure of childhood games.
The opera house brings to Oman the opportunity to travel the world through music, offering a diverse range of shows that will inspire and enthral every generation.
In April and May alone, the venue welcomes companies from China, the UK, Italy, Egypt, and Canada.
The opera house season continues through May with three further shows.
Look out for a celebration of Puccini’s 100th anniversary with the opera La Bohème; honour the legend Maria Callas with two superstars of the opera scene, Leo Nucci and Sonya Yoncheva; and close the season with a spectacular show from Cario Opera House created to explore the classical story of Scheherazade.
