Muscat: The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit held today in Muscat the second annual meeting with the vision offices in government institutions, in which it reviewed the strategic plans and programs to achieve the vision’s objectives, the progress of work in projects, and proposed appropriate solutions to overcome the challenges facing their implementation.
During the meeting, a guide was issued for the vision offices to organise and unify efforts and facilitate the work of the vision implementation follow-up offices in government agencies and institutions.
His Excellency Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Deputy Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, said: "This meeting comes as an affirmation of the role played by the vision offices as the link between the unit and the state’s administrative apparatus system to ensure the quality of plans related to the vision, and contribute to resolving the challenges facing initiatives, and ensure the alignment of strategic plans and programs to achieve the goals of the “Oman Vision 2040".
For its part, the Ministry of Education presented during the meeting a visual presentation on the basic starting points for activating the office’s competencies, analysing the strategic programs guide for the tenth five-year development plan, and addressing the analysis of educational performance indicators in global reports approved by “Oman Vision 2040.”
For its part, the Office of the Governor of North Al Sharqiyah reviewed the governorate’s executive plan and the most prominent achievements related to the vision’s priorities in a number of sectors, including the private sector, investment and international cooperation.
The Vision Office at the Development Bank pointed to the most prominent achievements it achieved during the past year, including preparing an in-country value framework and implementing a number of introductory seminars for employees about the vision.
The Vision Office in the Ministry of Commerce , Industry and Investment Promotion also discussed its work during the year 2023, including the manufacturing industries laboratory, development workshops for the national intellectual property strategy, development workshops for the construction sector, and reviewing more than 55 detailed plans to ensure the quality of the plans.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, and heads and representatives of the vision offices in government institutions.
