Europcar Oman & Bahrain, a leading mobility services company, is proud to announce its continued support to the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities planned for 2024.
In a proactive effort to raise awareness about early breast cancer detection, Europcar Oman and Bahrain yet again recently collaborated with the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) to host a pivotal lecture on the significance of self-examination. The engaging session took place at the prestigious Europcar Oman and Bahrain Headquarters, providing a platform for education and empowerment.
Led by Ms. Faiqa, a prominent Board Member of the OCA, the lecture focused on illuminating the audience, especially women, about the risk factors associated with breast cancer and underscored the critical importance of early detection and regular screening. The event seamlessly integrated theoretical knowledge with practical demonstrations, equipping attendees with the tools for self-examination to facilitate timely breast cancer detection.
Looking ahead to October 2024, Europcar Oman and Bahrain is gearing up to host a mobile mammogram screening station in collaboration with the Oman Cancer Association at its premises. This initiative, which is one amongst many as part of the CSR undertakings- is set to be open to all employees, their families, and Europcar partners, promising accessibility to free testing for early detection of breast cancer. The upcoming event stands as a monumental step towards fostering greater awareness about breast cancer and empowering individuals to proactively manage their health through timely detection.
