Did you feel Muttrah tremor?

Muscat: People living in the Wilayat of Muttrah felt a minor tremor when their household articles started shaking on Saturday. Many residents ran out of their homes in fear.

The earthquake, measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale, was recorded in the Wilayat of Al Amerat,  Governorate of Muscat, at 11:06 am today, according to the Sultan Qaboos University Earthquake Monitoring Centre.

The quake’s epicentre was located approximately 8 km southwest of Muscat city at a depth of 10 km beneath the surface.
