Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has launched the "Change Your Atmosphere" promotional campaign to highlight the heritage and tourism attractions of South Al Batinah Governorate. This campaign coincides with the "Experience South Al Batinah" events, organised by the Office of the Governor of South Al Batinah and scheduled to take place from January 8 to 31, 2025, at the white sands of "Khubat Al-Qaidan" in the Wilayat of Nakhal.
Raya bint Salem Al-Maskari, Assistant Director of the Tourism Marketing Department at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, explained that the campaign aims to stimulate tourism in South Al Batinah and promote its diverse heritage and tourism sites. This initiative is expected to enhance tourist activity during the event period, providing a boost to partners within the governorate's tourism sector.
The campaign will showcase a range of attractions across the governorate's wilayats. These include picturesque villages such as Bilad Sayt in Wadi Bani Awf, Wakan, and Al Alya, as well as natural springs like Ain Al-Kasfa and Ain Al-Thawara, and stunning wadis (valleys) such as Wadi Al-Hawqayn, Wadi Al-Sahtan, and Wadi Bani Kharus. Visitors will also be introduced to the governorate's historical forts and castles, including Al Hazm Fort, Al Khamis Tower and Wall, Rustaq Fort, Nakhal Fort, and Al Awabi Fort, along with the Bait Al Ghasham Museum. The campaign will also highlight the beautiful beaches of Al Musannah and Barka, popular destinations for marine trips and adventure tours.
To further promote the region, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will launch a dedicated promotional campaign for tourist landmarks during the "Experience South Al Batinah" events. Additionally, the ministry has partnered with Mwasalat to feature advertisements promoting South Al Batinah on buses operating daily routes within Muscat Governorate. A promotional film showcasing the governorate will also be broadcast on eight screens located in various parts of Muscat Governorate. Visitors to the "Experience South Al Batinah" events will also have the opportunity to visit the Geological Heritage Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism at Al Hazm Fort in the Wilayat of Rustaq, which opened on December 30 and features numerous rare examples of Omani geological heritage.
