Supreme Judicial Council holds its first meeting for 2025

Muscat: The Supreme Judicial Council today held its first meeting for 2025 under the chairmanship of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council.

During the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council commended the efforts made and the achievements achieved during the past year (2024), which played a prominent role in contributing to upgrading the level of judicial and legal services, enhancing justice and integrity, and the stability of judicial principles and rulings.

The meeting discussed a set of topics on its agenda in accordance with its mandate to supervise courts, judges, and the Public Prosecution Department and improve the quality of judicial services. It also discussed topics and decisions related to the administrative and functional affairs of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The Council also reviewed a number of items on topics pertaining to the development of laws and legislation of a judicial nature.
