Muscat: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, today visited the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) as part of the programme of his state visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Sheikh Tamim toured the ROHM and listened to a briefing about its facilities, the nature of its performances, its seasons and its programme throughout the year.
During his tour, Sheikh Tamim was briefed about the magnificent architectural features of ROHM’s design, which highlights the Omani architectural heritage that portrays a blend of architectural cultures from different continents of the world.
On the occasion of the visit, ROHM presented a musical performance staged by a passionate vocal chanting team, the Steel Band and the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO)’s 1st Battalion’s band.
At the end of his visit, Sheikh Tamim signed the Visitors Book, expressing his delight at visiting the ROHM, which he described as a bridge for cultural, civilizational and artistic communication among countries of the world.
During the visit, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, was accompanied by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister (Head of the Mission of Honour), members of ROHM Board of Directors and the official delegation accompanying the Emir.
