50 years of unbiased coverage

It has been a remarkable 50 years delivering the best of journalism that covers all aspects of news, not just local but regionally and internationally as well.

Times of Oman has made a huge impact not only to its readers in the last half a century but to the Sultanate of Oman as a nation. It has delivered an unbiased analytical news, not only how it happened but why it happened.

Why? Because Times of Oman over years knows very well that readers want not only to read the news but understand it with greater clarity. This newspaper is always on its toes to give readers a deeper understanding of what is going on in the world they live in.

Times of Oman is now more than a news bearer but a trusted brand that reaches far and wide to cover events from every corner of the globe. Whether its business, economy, social or politics, this newspaper cover the detail in the highest pedigree. It started modestly and over the years constantly redefined and reinvented to make the news interesting for all.

Right here in the Sultanate, the newspaper covered news from its infancy when Oman’s infrastructure was bare minimum and faithfully reported  its progress from the flat ground to the high rise buildings, sprawling roads, schools, hospitals, shopping malls, entertainment centers and much more in the last fifty years of development.

But what has been formidable over the decades is an amalgam of cultures, traditions and heritages that meet in Oman from people from over 100 countries. From the Arab world, the Indian subcontinent countries, Africa, Europe, Asia and as far as the Americas, Times of Oman has covered their news in different and exciting perspectives.

The creativity of its journalists has been enviable. From the newsrooms to the streets or press conferences, the stories churned out by the reporters of this newspaper have always been unrivalled. The in-depth analysis continues to this day. It has changed form over the years. From print to now digital, video and audio formats. It is this combination that gives this newspaper an advantage from the rest. The time is fast changing but the value of unparalleled work will continue.

In conclusion, Times of Oman is now well placed for another 50 years of progress to bring facts to light for many years come for the future generations.
