Muscat – Oman Cricket proudly announces the successful completion of the U11 Schools and Academies OC Season 2024-25, an exciting tournament that showcased the remarkable talent and sportsmanship of young cricketers. The league served as a platform for budding players to hone their skills for the first time in their early days of playing cricket and embrace the spirit of competitive cricket.
ISWK U11 emerged Champions winning 6 out of 6 league matches and ISM U11 A claimed Runners-Up winning 5 out of 6 of the Schools tournament played among 7 teams. In the Academies league, MCCC Yellow emerged Champions unbeaten in 4 matches while BSC AEC won 3 and claimed Runners-Up among 5 teams. The determination on the field, coupled with outstanding teamwork, set a high benchmark for the competition in the coming years.
Oman Cricket remains committed to fostering young talent through structured competitive tournaments providing the youth to experience cricket, ensuring a bright future for the game from its grassroots in the Sultanate. The success of this league reflects the significance of grassroot cricket and youth development programs and the unwavering passion for the sport among aspiring cricketers.
In the prize distribution, Mr. Alkesh Joshi, Treasurer – Oman Cricket, Mr. Kiran Asher, Board Member – Oman Cricket and Mr. Duleep Mendis, Chief Development Officer, Oman Cricket handed the accolades. For the Schools league, Aayansh Mistry claimed the Best Batter and Best All Rounder award while Aarav Rahul bagged the Best Bowler. For Academies league, Ashbel Wilson Burboz claimed the Best Batter while Shubh Seth bagged the Best Bowler.
