54 institutions from Oman taking part in ITB Berlin

Berlin: The Sultanate of Oman has begun its participation in the International Tourism Exchange Berlin 2025, which kicked off on Tuesday in the German capital, Berlin, and will continue for three days.

The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman includes - in addition to the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism - representatives of 54 institutions specialised in travel, tourism and hotels and 4 strategic partners.

The Sultanate of Oman’s participation in the ITB Berlin aims to highlight the Sultanate of Oman as a prominent tourist destination that includes unique and attractive tourism experiences and styles that cover various interests, in addition to concluding a number of agreements related to improving the sector and upgrading it in a manner that keeps pace with global tourism trends.

It also seeks to learn about pioneering global experiences and discuss plans and strategies that will achieve record levels of tourism growth and attract nontraditional markets.

The Sultanate of Oman’s participation in this exhibition, which is classified as one of the largest exhibitions in the field, comes to create innovative mechanisms and marketing and promotional pillars that ensure expansion in the European and international market in general and the German market in particular.

Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information show that the German market is the highest - among European countries - in terms of the number of visitors coming to Oman, with their number reaching more than 135,000 by the end of last year, ranking fourth in the total number of tourists coming to Oman after the UAE, India and Yemen, while the number of visitors from European countries in December alone reached about 103,800.
